seems its faster to run vagrant with libvirt inside vmware than it is 
directly on the mac. this is totally unscientific but somehow amusing.

vagrant file made with vagrant init ubuntu/trusty64. all are second run to 
make sure things that needed to be cached were cached. mac has 16 gigs, so 
the vm got 8. this way, both have plenty of ram.

vagrant / virtualbox on a single box in os x, 
33.387s 
vagrant / virtualbox in ubuntu xenial beta in vmware-fusion,
43.620
vagrant libvirt in vmware-fusion.
