I get them setup as per instructions but can't browse to them from any other machine. The issue might be I'm using HyperV. I haven't been able to find a good tutorial on setting up webserver on ubuntu guest using HyperV. I have several windows guests on the HyperV server that work without any issues. I'm currently trying with the second link from ebmeierj and only issue is that the metadata files it produces assume virtualbox.
