Hey good morning community ,
- i have a chef-dk environment (vagrant , VM , packer, Git) build up and
i want to create a Windows test Kitchen that requires Winrm
MERAL215978:learn_chef_iis-master ryan.asonganyi$ gem query --local | grep
winrm
vagrant-winrm (0.7.0)
winrm (2.2.3)
winrm-elevated (1.1.0)
winrm-fs (1.1.1)
MERAL215978:learn_chef_iis-master ryan.asonganyi$ vagrant plugin list
vagrant-share (1.1.9, system)
MERAL215978:learn_chef_iis-master ryan.asonganyi$
(Note: The screen shot above shows my environment)
-
1. Given that i utilized $ g*em install vagrant-winrm* to install the
plugin, it doesnt list it under the plugins available in vagrant
2. I also tried to download it from $*vagrant plugin install winrm* but
no avail it gives me the following error
Unable to resolve dependency: user requested 'vagrant-share (> 0)'
Bundler, the underlying system Vagrant uses to install plugins,
reported an error. The error is shown below. These errors are usually
caused by misconfigured plugin installations or transient network
issues. The error from Bundler is:

it would let me install the vagrant share independently with $* vagrant
plugin install vagrant-share , *it will also let me run the command *$vagrant
plugin expunge --reinstall* but it will say its done and propagate the same
error when i run the winrm install or $*vagrant plugin update*.

This command permanently deletes all currently installed user plugins. It
should only be used when a repair command is unable to properly fix the
system.

All user installed plugins have been removed from this Vagrant environment!
Vagrant will now attempt to reinstall user plugins that were removed.
MERAL215978:learn_chef_iis-master ryan.asonganyi$ sudo vagrant plugin
install vagrant-winrm --plugin-clean-sources --plugin-source

*Note:* I work at Dish where we cant directly download from the internet
due to security reasons so i set up a back-door proxy to get the downloads
i need, hence the reason why i used *--plugin-source* Option
