worked for me, finished properly, attached log.
I am based in the netherlands, so maybe is something related to the
national ubuntu mirror? when I was in New Zealand 1 every 4 times all suck,
and had to update the mirror in /etc/apt
other times apt goes to use ipv6 since dns resolve that but some ISP/local
computer doesn't have IPV6 and apt fails.
here I do have ipv6 working fine.
Suggestion:
couple of errors on the output but just add
export DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive
export LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8
export LANG=en_US.UTF-8
export LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8
to the 3 rd line of the script.
to test is the mirror, add this, replace AU with the country where you are,
OR other country:
# Use AU mirrors
sudo sed -i \
-e 's/\/us.archive.ubuntu.com/\/au.archive.ubuntu.com/' \
-e 's/\/archive.ubuntu.com/\/au.archive.ubuntu.com/' \
/etc/apt/sources.list
to test is the IPV6 issue, test adding this
echo 'Acquire::ForceIPv4 "true";' | sudo tee /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/99force-ipv4
output of my run
