Hello Vagrant + ESXi is done by community plugins, and some of them require vSphere.
the ones I have seen can use any box that already exists on vsphere, so if you could be more specific, we can help better. you can create a VM by hand, onstall vmtools, setup vagrant user with the known ssh key and make sure it works, and then all should work. If you can share more detailed information, we can help better. - vagrant version - plugin you are using - what errors you get ?
