Just a heads up: the c:\vagrant directory is a network share. For some
reason I cannot remember any more not all file IO operations of the Windows
API are supported on shares which will lead to rather wierd exceptions. I
have this problem with Chef for example.
Try  doing the same but copy the files you need in the VM first, say in a
temporary directory to make sure this isn't the case.
