HFS Support

Does the current linux kernel have support for (HFS). If it does is it read and write or just read. Was just wondering no other reason. I was thinking about putting linux on my mac mini. Also do I have to do a clean install of mac os x if I want to install linux or can I repartion the drive to make room for linux

It's a good thing Linux is under GPL (General Public Lisense) or Microsoft would buy opensouce projects out too!
