While the lack of time to go for beers was disappointing (domestic issues centering on sick kiddos forced a direct return home), I personally found RMS' speech to be very much in line with my own personal feelings. And while I tend to be significantly less dogmatic in my idealism (I think I let reality have a little more headroom than RMS does), you have to admire a guy who is so committed to his ideals. I found myself nodding a lot, even when he went off on tirades about "evil corporations that deserve bankruptcy".
