John,

We're a small business and we use Burlington
Telecom<http://www.burlingtontelecom.net/>(municipal fiber). Our
current plan is 2 Mbps symmetrical but they offer up
to 8 Mbps symmetrical. We only have one public IP address but my guess is
you could get more. I have no complaints with Burlington Telecom, the
service has worked great. We run our VoIP phones over this connection as
well. We get our SIP hosting, PSTN gateway, and hosted PBX through Junction
Networks <http://www.junctionnetworks.com/> (for any other small business
out there I'd highly recommend checking them out). Burlington Telecom offers
VoIP but they're more interested in offering POTS (it ends up running
digitally over fiber but your interface is POTS) and they simply can't match
the range of services and flexibility that Junction Networks provides. One
of the nice things about Junction Networks is that, unlike other VoIP
providers, you get unlimited lines. I've done the math and we could run
somewhere between 20 and 30 simultaneous phone calls on our bandwidth if we
ever wanted to (not that we'd ever have a reason to do that).
