I believe there is an Upper Valley group.... and I would think there
is definitely some major *nix activity around Dartmouth.

Out of curiosity, and I expect the answer is no, are there ever any
meetings held that are not in the area between Burlington and

I live in Newport, in the Northeast Kingdom, and while there is fact
computer technology activity here there are very few cases where
people know about any meetings where they can discuss shared
interests.
So I figured that I'd ask.
FYI, my UNIX background originates in 1987 when I joined Digital's
UNIX Engineering Group where we made various different flavors of
UNIX operating systems for Digital's hardware systems. I started
using Linux in 1994 and have not looked back. I'm a software
engineer by trade and now run my own software consulting business.
Thanks to telecommuting and broadband internet connections I'm able
to do this work where I grew up instead of in the Boston area where
I lived for so many years.
It's great to know that you folks are out there!
