Dear Larry Keys,
There seems to be groundswell among the Unixistas, who as a group, never
go anywhere or do anything for fun, particularly anything that costs
$35.00. That said, here is a typical response...

Well, we could all take turns on my kayak, I guess, but that wouldn't be
much fun,
Larry, sth brings up reasonable a point, but I need to suggest to him that
towing his kayak poses both safety and logistical issues (e.g. how do the
kayak passengers get to the cash bar?). Sth, you may as well reconcile
yourself to having missed your shot with the departure of the Adamant
dinner cruise... (see quote below)

Subject: Fourth Annual Adamant Dinner Cruise
This is a floating potluck on Monday, August 4, at 6:00 PM, on Adamant
Pond, across from the church on Haggett Road. Bring your own boat, if you
have one. But if you dont have a boat, come anywaywith luck, there will
be deck space for all. Formal dress is optional.

and I've yet to hack any Linuxyness into it. (I know: complete
slacker.)
Forgive me for this indirect rebuke brother sth, but I see the whole idea
of a Vague meeting at sea as a major hack!
Finally larry, sth does pose a serious and properly geekish question...
Is there WiFi on this boat of yours? ;-)
I can see some technical challanges to this, so do not expect to much
here... Oh to put it anothe way, where is our statewhide wireless
initiative when we need it?
This, of course begs the question, if Lake Champlaign will be covered will
it only be the Vermont part... Hmmmm...
Anyway, there you are. Comments?
Regards,
Flint
