Ok, so I've got an oddity. I've got a DELL Dimension 5150 with 4gb's of ram running Ubuntu 8.04 x64 just fine. If I add in another 2 gb's of ram, giving me 6gb's total, when I boot the box it panics with the message :

        Early Exception Rip 000000802889c9 error 0 cr2 69c8

I've seen some discussion about Ubuntu not supporting more than 4gb but I've seen others contradicting it. The BIOS itself sees it as 6gb's and is happy.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks!

Michael
