VAGUErants… The October meeting is just a couple of weeks away, on Tuesday the 21st, tentatively at the Mac Lab in Burlington. If someone would rather offer/secure a different venue, that'd be great – but it needs to happen ASAP so we can get some notices/press out in the next couple of days.
As per request, I'm going to be giving a talk about the wide world of Java … about the language/libraries, the ecosystem around it, recent versions and enhancements, what "Enterprise Java" is all about, and a top-level overview of app servers and web frameworks and technologies. I like the way it's coming together; if you want me to touch on anything in particular, please let me know. :) As well, as per mail last week, we might want to reserve some time at the end of the meeting (perhaps cascading down to the pub) to talk about planning for a presence at the Vermont 3.0 fair that upcoming weekend. I'm sure the meeting's pretty full as is, but does anyone else want to raise something for the agenda? -- ...jsled http://asynchronous.org/ - a=jsled; b=asynchronous.org; echo [EMAIL PROTECTED]
