Thanks to Josh Smith, who gave a good presentation last night in the
Kellogg-Hubbard library on the Capture-HPC¹ project, and how he's made
use of it to provide an interface to the submission and status-reporting
on the scanning of malware sites. Unfortunately, while it seemed like
wi-fi was available, vpn-connection problems prevented a live demo.
After the talk, we had a discussion about security somewhat broadly.

Thanks, too, to Paul Flint for use of his projector.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 16th. While I still
need to confirm, the tentative plan is for a presentation by Stephanie
Chase of the Stowe Library, about Koha, an open-source
Library-management system. More details about that meeting coming soon.
