Hi all,
CCV has somewhere between 75 and 150 Neoware Eon4000I Thinclient
workstations that we're looking to unload. These little beasts run
NeoLinux, an embedded version of some ancient RedHat derivative, with a
proprietary GUI specifically about being a thin client, from a flash ROM.
They do have the ability to add an IDE drive, since they have a controller,
and even have USB ports. They support connecting via RDP, Citrix, and X,
and also have a shell prompt you can get to. And an embedded version of
Netscape, but I think it's Netscape 4 or some equally ancient version.
Nothing fantastic, but if someone's looking at a thin client install they
might be very handy.
If anyone wants them, let me know and we can arrange for you to get them in
Waterbury and/or Burlington (we have a sizeable stash in each location).
If nobody wants them, they'll most likely just go to the Goodwill's
computer equipment recycling program, or some equivalent group.
