And thanks to you, for notes! :) I have a thought on splintering: I think this hackerspace (or whatever we call it) can be dynamic enough to draw from other interest groups in a *positive* way, such that folks will come to hackerspace projects and then perhaps bring something interesting back to any other groups they're with. It's more about *building* something - and that something can be physical (birdhouse :) or virtual (software).
