I finalized the move of the VAGUE Web site to the Wiki -- a process
that Josh Sled and I started earlier in the year.

The Web address for VAGUE is still <http://www.uvm.org/vague/>, but
you'll notice it quickly redirects to the Wiki site. All old pages
should redirect to the new site, too.

I was finally able to concoct a method for maintaining the RSS feed
for VAGUE events from within the Wiki. This wasn't previously
possible, but I came across an extension that makes this reasonably
simple.

This Web site change will probably have no significant consequence for
people, but you will need to change the address of the RSS feed for
VAGUE events. I predict few subscribed to the original feed, but if
you did here's the new feed address:

<http://www.uvm.org/vague/wiki/index.php?title=Events&action=feed&feed=rss>

The old address of the feed should redirect to the new one, so the old
should still work in most feed readers support HTTP redirects.

If you want to help out on the Wiki, take up a todo item or start a
discussion here if you have other comments:

Of course, the Wiki can be used to collect material on anything of
interest to VAGUE, as well. For example, Anthony Carrico recently
posted up the notes on the Monkton-Hinesburg Hackerspace get together.
See the "Projects" section of the site to see existing or write about
new ideas.

Note you need to start an account to edit pages. I'd prefer allowing
anonymous edits, but the login-requirement has kept SPAM away for the
last 3 years. When you start an account, consider writing a user page
about yourself, and add a link to it on the "People" section of the
Wiki.

See you on the Wiki.
