Never been to CharlieO's.
One incident that I recall was a few years ago when the council attempted to
ram through anti-firearm ordinances while the city manager was out of town.
He got back in time to put the kibosh on it. Also, when a whole slew of
citizens showed up, armed, because they'd gotten the word.

I'm no accountant or auditor, but there have been published stories over the
years about how close they come sometimes to making all kinds of financial
decisions *sub rosa, *and then only belatedly coming clean when someone
blows the whistle. And there is at least one person on there now who is
utterly clueless but who talks a great line of you-know-what.

Oh well, I don't wanna come across as one of these disgruntled old farts who
write hundreds of letters to the editor. Those people were elected, and I
live here and will have to live with the result, to a point.

I'll get around to checking out CharlieO's one of these nights, I reckon.
Other than that, we kinda like Arvad's and the Alchemist.

Kindest and warmest regahds,

Old Farmer Davy
