I too tried Turnkey, and the only way I got it to work was off the live cd. Although I thought it really cool that I could run a full authentication system from a CD.
While I have not had time to spend with it, my next step with turnkey would be to see If I could get scriptstart to work with it: http://www.scriptstart.com/content.php?s=download <http://www.scriptstart.com/content.php?s=download>(this sucks scriptstart got bought out, and it looks like only their commercial version will be compatible with future versions of Windows.
