This sounds very much like it’s not happy with the mouse driver in Xorg
(since the pointer function is essentially a mouse).  Have you tried
simply switching away from the GUI screen and back again (e.g.
<ctrl><alt><f1> and <ctrl><alt><f7>)?

 

A Smartboard is a device used in classrooms and the like, it’s basically
an electronic whiteboard with virtual pens and a projector to sync
what’s ‘written’ on the screen with what’s displayed.  They’re very
cool, but they’re very touchy (no pun intended).

 

By way of disclaimer, I’ve not actually played with a SmartBoard under
Linux, so I’m totally guessing here.

"smartboard" is... I for one don't have any idea, and therefore can't

I am trying to attach a smartboard to ubuntu 10.04.   When the board is
connected my mouse bounces up to the top left corner.  please help.  I
