Greetings,
For those of you who have not bothered to the risk crippling experience of
walking up Camels Hump (btw a hell of a view Saturday, two days ago), and
instead prefer brain pain to leg pain, this evening we will be meeting
between 5 and 7 PM at the Hedding United Methodist community facilities as
per usual.
This session will likely continue our python, programming discussions and
the famous python homework contest, which I have as of this AM not
completely solved. Note that Perl has reared it's ugly head, and
currently battles "tr" and "awk" for script language hegemony. That said
the python objects that have made Flint's life (which as we all know is a
living hell) easier, will diligently work to take the field. You should
also expect a new assignment! There has been some progress in organizing
open source educational resources for programmers, particularly developing
a Python course. Who knows, there may be more.
Despite these topics we also want to focus on system troubleshooting and we are
always about Linux / Ubuntu system installation. We will spend whatever
time we need on DTG's broken HP laptop power supply.

Expect a new web site link from the www.bosivt.org main site, as ning
threw us off, apparently open source advocates are not a target for
their commercial advantage, the ning site is no longer operational (rat
bastards... :^).
