POSITION: Systems Administrator: Exchange or Web Programming*
100% Position

college.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Exchange- Under the direction of the Assistant
Chief Technology Officer: provide systems administration and support for
college networks. Build and maintain assigned servers, applications, and
processes. Lead administrator for Microsoft Exchange. Identify and
develop data solutions to organizational needs. Provide training and
support to college staff and other college users as assigned.
Investigate emerging technologies and their functionality to
organizational needs.
Web Programming- Under the direction of the Assistant Chief Technology
Officer: provide systems administration and support for college
networks. Build and maintain assigned servers, applications, and
processes. Assist assistant chief technology officers with web
programming solutions and database development and administration.
Identify and develop data solutions to organizational needs. Provide
training and support to college staff and other college users as
assigned. Investigate emerging technologies and their functionality to
organizational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Exchange- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant technical
program with two to four years’ experience in systems administration, or
a commensurate combination of education and experience required.
Administrator experience in Microsoft Exchange 2010, as well as Windows
server 2008 and 2003, Windows 7 OS, Linux server environments, and
server virtualization desirable. Must have excellent written and verbal
communications skills and demonstrate abilities in troubleshooting and
documentation. Must be able to work collaboratively in an Information
Technology team environment. Occasional evening and weekend work as well
as travel to other college centers will be required.
Web Programming- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant technical program with
two to four years’ experience in systems administration, or a
commensurate combination of education and experience required.
Experience with Windows server 2008 and 2003, Windows 7 OS, and Linux
server environments desirable. Programming experience in one or more web
applications development environments preferred: PHP,
ASP.Net/Sharepoint, ColdFusion. Perl and JavaScript/AJAX/jQuery
experience a plus. Previous experience in database development and
administration, and experience with structured query language (e.g.
MSSQL, mySQL or similar). Must have excellent written and verbal
communications skills and demonstrate abilities in troubleshooting and
documentation. Must be able to work collaboratively in an Information
Technology team environment. Occasional evening and weekend work as
well as travel to other college centers will be required.
STARTING DATE: February 15, 2012 or as soon as possible.
