Greetings List Lurkers,
Welcome to your official notice of the Barre Open Systems Institute (BOSI)
Adult Swim. The swim stars at 5:00 PM), when we shall continue the
business and pleasure of dealing with the all manner of technology. Some
believe, (ok a very small number) the BOSI Adult Swim is an excellent
opportunity to do good things with open source technology...
A list of these same people was recently uncovered on a dead sea scroll...
Several projects are of interest. We are attempting to develop Barre Open
Porch, based upon a fork of the Open Porch product in GIT, as well as the
always popular pellet furnace, and temperature monitoring projects.
As you can recall our Ongoing projects that tend to gather here include:

There has been a breakthrough. Chris Yarger, rather than use the main
intel computer (and the complicated owfs) has used the Arduino as a
prerprocesser. This will be the main theme at Adult swim this evening.
If anyone in Burlington wants to see a presentation on this let us know.
Otherwise Barre indeed remains a great venue for a Linux and Open Source
Software meeting. We have made progress on our internal infrastructure, mostly
thanks to Chris Yarger, remember it is an analog world, Chris has made many
positive improvements to please the spiritual types that hang around Methodist
Churches...
That said, continue to find our grubby mitts on the Dallas Semi "1-wire"
temperature probes, and the Arduino is clearly the coolest.
Note that the Barre library stocks "Linux World", the DVD are available as
well.
Anyway, come and do open source stuff. For more information about the BOSI
Adult Swim meeting time and location try this:

Show up at the the Hedding United Methodist Church Basement if you have
questions or are interested in Linux or the concept of free and open systems,
The basement of the Hedding UMC facility is actually working out pretty well.
If you wish to be included on the "Linux_adult_swim" mailing list, send a
response to this note. Note that the mailing list system is a bit peevish
right now. Let me know if you have any difficulties.
Kindest Regards,
Paul Flint
