1. Judging by the comment threads at Amazon, low quality counterfeit cards are rampant, even from Amazon.com proper, in SanDisk/Samsung packaging. Does anyone have a nice script for testing new cards before tossing them into your bag?
2. I don't usually reuse flash cards anymore. I've found that the cady made by www.dimedium.com is pretty handy to store "master" cards and new ones. It has a place to label them on the back. It isn't quite as nice as the label on 5-1/4" floppies, but 32G(!) and better than a pile of microSD cards in your drawer. 3. I've never bought a card bigger than 32G because of the proprietary filesystem, please discuss. 4. Again, testing script anyone? I'm feeling too lazy to read the DD, md5, /dev/random etc. etc. pages today. -- Anthony Carrico
