LOL. But I can't knock the .net crowd: Julie Lerman and friends have been die hard Microsoft/.net devs forever, and yet she has been super friendly about opening the events and inviting us all to bring our own interests to Vermont Coders Connection (http://www.meetup.com/VTCode/). They are very open to giving up rooms and time slots at Code Camp for various platforms and languages, and also sharing the Meetup (which does cost a little money) with all the groups around here. Flint knows better than anyone: nothing happens unless you give the talk, schedule the event, or badger someone else long enough. Cheers to Adult Swim.
