Sorrowful Greetings List lurkers,
Friday, we lost one of our geek community, Mr. John Pawloski.
For those who wish to say good by, Funeral services shall be held at the
First Presbyterian Church, of Barre, VT this morning at 11AM. We shall
miss him in his passing...
I have no doubt that this will cast a pall on this afternoon's meeting,
but in deference to a technical seeker who was both patient and
determined, the BOSI Adult Swim shall take place this afternoon as usual
5-7 PM in the Hedding UMC annex basement. John got a lot done. He put
together the computer facility for the Presbyterian Church, he was an avid
Arduino hobbiest, a canny shopper and finder of extremely cool web based
stuff and gizmos, and he was a social activist willing to help anyone with
whatever power, property or position he held in the community. A
plain spoken and honest friend, these summer days shall not pass without
reflection on his life. He leaves a legacy of family, love and
friendship, and while his path in this valley of tears may not have always
been the straightest or most comfortable, his was always a path of
righteousness, he goes now to the next adventure with the salutations of
those who knew and loved him.
Like I said we shall meet at the Adult Swim this afternoon, and try to
build on the shoulders of those giants that have passed us by.
