Sorry, I guess that was me. I didn't know what it was for and removed it
due to the line-counting issue. Maybe the script can be modified so that
it recognizes a comment preceding a code block:
/* vala-test:examples/string.vala */
{{{#!...
...
}}}

Of course, I'm aware of that, but it's only API documentation. I was
thinking of a step-by-step tutorial for people who have never developed
GTK+ apps before.
