I am trying to install and run valgrind 3.4.0 on a 64-bit linux system. I'm getting an error I don't understand:
% uname -a Linux xxx.yyy.com 2.6.9-5.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Jan 5 19:29:47 EST 2005 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux % which valgrind ~/valgrind/bin/valgrind % valgrind ls valgrind: failed to start tool 'memcheck' for platform 'amd64-linux': No such file or directory % What does this message even mean? Do I need to set up some environment variable? I built valgrind 3.4.0 on another machine, a 32-bit linux system, and it works just fine, running from my home directory. I'm not sure what's different.
