You can try to fix the following lines in configure.in:

     armv7*)
        AC_MSG_RESULT([ok (${host_cpu})])
        ARCH_MAX="arm"
        ;;

     *)

s/armv7/arm

, but you should make sure that your compiler supports the ARMv7
instruction set.
