Hi - we were using older versions of gdb and valgrind on CentOS 4 built from source without any problem on 64 bit systems.
Now, if we atttempt to use gdb 7.2 and valgrind 3.6.1 built from source on CentOS 5 on 64 bit machines, it appears gdb is complaining: I'm sorry, Dave, I can't do that. Symbol format `elf64-x86-64' unknown. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or does anyone know of versions of gdb and valgrind which work on CentOS 5? The versions which ship with CentOS 5.5 have problems. We're dead in the water. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- Agile ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
