That is the same issue I am having, except I used /usr/local.
I tried the solution Tom mentions in the post but it did not help.
I tried make uninstall with ./configure --prefix=/usr/local too and then
did a reinstall for the same error.
I manually went and deleted all valgrind files still no progress.
Do you have any more suggestions for me?
