had commented about the result keeping in mind the tradition of the Kotla of
the past which has always offered indifferent bounce and turned a little more.
Somehow, i still feel we will have a result in this test match but Kumble
should be back, he is the key man! Another point i want to make here is that
Billy Bowden is one of the worst umpires on the ICC panel for the tests, if you
pull out the statistics for the numbe of tests he has umpired, most of them
must have ended in a draw because he is a very very safe decision maker. He
hardly gives any lbw decisions and i felt this could be the blow for us in this
test match and may spoil Kotla's track record and India's chance of forcing a
win. I could not see any match today but whatever little
i saw yesterday I felt that Katich was plumb on the day 2 of Mishra itself but
thanks to Billy Bowden again he was given a reprieve. He gives all the marginal
decisions in favor of batsmen and that could be the reason why there may be no
result in this match although i am still optimistic since day 4 and day 5 have
always been a batsmen's graveyard at Kotla.
Here is the picture of HUM 4 in a Dubai ka Mall, H.V and Priya drove us
around with our families in 2 different cars! What fun, today being a holiday
here the traffic was less and we went sight seeing in the morning and saw a lot
of famous buildings what Dubai has been known for! It is so much fun since H.V
has taken 3 days off and has taken upon himself to take us to every nook and
crook of this country! We are completely pampered here, thanks to H.V and
Priya!!!! Thoroughly enjoying every bit of this trip which has just begun!

Yes, a great day, but did you have to Jinx it by saying that it will be over in
4 days an all ? I hopw it is over in 4 days.
Lacchu really played well, he was almost run a ball until 35, then slowed only
as it was nearing end of the day. I have to eat my words when I said he should
be dropped. Because, this pitch will aid spinners (looks like), 2 spinners
might be enough to do the job, but on other pitches we may need 5 bowlers.
What about Gauti ? He is a little champ the way he played yesterday. He might
be in a bit of trouble for his elbowing incident. The Aussies are bickering
about Gauti's attitude and all that, when they started it every time. Shane
Watson blocked his way on the first run, thats why he was elbowed. It still was
wrong, but he was provoked. I hope he gets away with just a fine.
