good one!!!!. This remindes me, In an earlier version of word if you type certain commands a flight simulator would start and you could actually play. This was done by a programmer @ MS to pass time while he was at work. There might be a method to the madness for the first one. In any programming language there are reserved words which the programmer cannot use as part of his/her code. These words are caught by the compiler as errors. Similarly as windows has evolved from DOS. CON is a name of underlying device in DOS so by creating a folder with the same name will confuse the operating system as to where to send the data.
