Excellent !!!!!!!! So shall I Nominate Shri Nayan Mepani for the World's strongest man for the year 2010 !!!!!!!!
or will Nayan take more time for preparation ???? ----- Original Message ----- From: Nayan Mapani To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, January 21, 2009 10:31 AM Subject: Re: Mumbai Marathon and ooske stories Thanks yaar, i trained for 1.5 months but without seeking any professional help! I just relied on one friends tips who had run the 21 kms last year! This time we both trained together, on the road i did 7 k's once, then 14 k's the next week and 21 k's in the same week when i had to run the Marathon. So, infact i ran 42 k's in a weeks time which is actually not advisable since your body needs time to rest! But since i had very little time I wanted to make sure that i can run the 21 k's before actually running on the big day! I feel physical training is only 30% and the rest is mental preparation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: Anil Nair <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, 20 January, 2009 3:46:57 PM Subject: Re: Mumbai Marathon and ooske stories Nayan - COngrats yaar. 21kms running is just amazing. i am really impressed. so how long did you train for this event?... anyways....good stuff and keep it up. next time full marathon aim karna. cheers Anil On Tue, Jan 20, 2009 at 4:51 PM, Nayan Mapani <[email protected]> wrote: I really like your style, very nice! No more talking about this topic with you, theek hai! To be honest with you I am so upset with the enter diplomacy which Pakistan dishes out every now and then that anyone who speaks in their favor becomes my target. Thanks for correcting the spelling again, well i knew this spelling actually but i did not bother to check my email before sending it but anyways keep up the good work. I appreciate it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Archana Sharma <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, 19 January, 2009 10:02:20 PM Subject: Re: Mumbai Marathon and ooske stories Arch is sick of the topic and she doesnt want to continue talking. if you want to keep on this discussion and post new mails, please search kurait kurait and post it. I will drag HV on what he has said, i dont agree with his views and neither agree with Arch's view! I think her sense of comparison is very poor, she compares a Prime minister's wrong deeds with India ka local ministers comments on the rape victims or whatever. I remember she compared Narendra Modi to Saddam Hussein,i dont take her comparisons seriously at all. She is so pro Pakistan that I wonder whether she ever lived in India. She compares Gilani's video clip with Bill Clintons liasion with Monica Lewinsky, it was mutual i feel, i am not saying what he did was right but unless the lady obliges how would it be possible. Whereas here apne Gilani sahab to din dahade daka daal rahen hain bindaas and this bugger is the Prime Minister of Pakistan. I am so certain that had such an incedent happened in India that person even if he were a small MLA would have had to resign because of our media pressure! Pakistan mein to sab welcome hai, that country is most certainly going to the dogs and the worst part is it is posing a serious threat to us since an unstable neighbour will certainly affect India badly. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Ramani Rajagopalan <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, 19 January, 2009 2:58:07 PM Subject: Re: Mumbai Marathon and ooske stories Many Congratulations Nayan. Apne fitness ka toh yeh haal hai ke I get tired watching a marathon. Talking of correcting spellings, you sure have changed your style. You don't drag HV when you HAVE to. No pun intended. :) It is raining in Zurich. A very dull beginning to the week. Its the same in London as well, isn't it Arch? I can give you the exact timing once i receive the certificate since i was wearing the timing chip. It was an awesome experience, when I was running the last 4 K's which is considered to be the toughest I was thinking about Archana's mail in which she had described about Dhandraj Pillay's halat after he had started walking at the end. I could relate with that episode so well since 50% of the ppl had given up and were walking but i decided to go on! Felt nice, great feeling to complete the Marathon although i should have done it in sub 2 hours! I saw a lot of young girls overtaking me and felt ashamed of myself, may be this fact will push me harder and make me run the full marathon in the next year in good time! I will post some pictures when I officialy get from the Std. Chartered web site! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Anil Nair <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, 19 January, 2009 7:20:50 AM Subject: Re: Mumbai Marathon and ooske stories Nayan - Marathon kaisa tha? 21k khatam kar paaya? U must have meant sarcastic. Is it the spelling you have been using right from the beginning. Sometimes you have decided on a spelling and continue it and it feels correct till it is questioned. So i thought i should point. Once when i said the word illicit my fren laughed at me and said u meant illict right? As in illict relationship. I said no it is illicit. We went to the dictionary and he was shocked that all his life he had visualised the word without i. Arch On 1/17/09, Sameer Chhatre <[email protected]> wrote: First hand or first feet? He has been very circastic saying nothing has been done after those attacks. Sorry I dont have the link to forward. I am sorry i woke up a little late, never mind if things go according to plans I might visit your country to run the next marathon and we both can take part together! I am running 21 K's tomorrow, a little tensed but excited at the same time. Lets see in how much time I can complete it, the challenge is the timing and not the completion actually! Thank you for your good wishes! I will write stories about my first hand experience about the marathon after i complete tomorrow's run, so wait till then! Chal take care! -------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Archana Sharma <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, 16 January, 2009 9:10:38 PM Subject: Mumbai Marathon and ooske stories Hey that's fab. You running finally when I have returned to the UK. Had I been there, we could have caught up and may be ran together shouting Vani Reunion 88-89 batch zindabad. WIll you be promoting any cause? What are you running dream run or 21-kms? Don't tell me it's 42 kms. I used to sleep at office dormitory overnight and leave from there itself. And those female reporters covering the Marathon and a female photographer also used to stay. It used to be one noisy and sleepless night getting scared of the smallest sound. Actually, male reporters and editors before leaving would tell us stories about who committed suicide in the dorm once and scare us. Remembering those days. last time I had screamed at Dhanraj Pillai when i was running for the dream run. He was coming back on the opposite lane from 21 kms. I stood at the road divider and said, " What Dhanraj, you disappoint me. Why are you walking and not running." Dhanraj like a typical rowdy said, " Waah, you try to run 21 kms and then tell me. Yourself are doing dream run, haa." The conversation was so casual my friends asked me you know Dhanraj and I said no, first time i am talking to him. That is how Mumbai Marathon is. Infectious excitement. All the best Nayan. Arch On Fri, Jan 16, 2009 at 11:22 AM, Nayan Mapani <[email protected]> wrote: Arre when you see it dont get offended pls!
