Would that mean that all of libvarnish becomes a public API, as VSL and VSC are now? If so, you probably can best answer the question -- commit to keeping the API compatible over time, or take flak when there are incompatible changes? Design the interfaces with this sort of thing in mind? I've developed apps and APIs against VSL and VSC, so IMO it matters a lot. But then if all of libvarnish becomes a public API, *many* things become much easier. - -- ** * * UPLEX - Nils Goroll Systemoptimierung Scheffelstraße 32 22301 Hamburg Tel +49 40 2880 5731 Mob +49 176 636 90917 Fax +49 40 42949753 http://uplex.de -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJW6rF9AAoJEOUwvh9pJNURpiEP/iik0YnQDEf9bjQjd3s/Kbx6 HCPI5lg1MinwGLDXkEMK5dUzpPAaLP4VzDatnv2+5HQEjP4Ar1kjw/aD2QC+c1dl d+FRE4qY1PLpItFoCWM2RO37ZylZkIoWnQQ95vFjxqa/6c9sgJY7QLz4zjwgkB2Z yU654b4no+qxCntg3l5nn9RBYY7zm7EMXEpzM2l86UYhPiwjjMDOZ2wi+cDvtxHP I5hcIPEVtorOOZlttvxhKgVl7FVzZf+GX85vb4xsnhYNy8K2R+paoNC4F3md8CtW 5Bv0mt3hsBV2bhG/Hq56Cz+6491JY8eqSffbT7QmTEHtwULOFJOLXwNXy/N8PaHQ LKrGdPBCR8XslVkrr8x4hdKHwjBXtV9USWIPw3kTjHTnDq/vgTM4LBX3ABLh4Reg D83qzOZZ7FGi8WneBMI+ex23VltLtxGs/sgzoG7MG9kh4ahq523N7W68uv6f4yE4 +QH4ji2QgHoAYZWGQZUO+13YIcH81fP9wUSeXpDgOComGUi8z29q2TGFMeF4xtjI htizWxprDc1mHp4Xdw/GsrOh9eIWHf2UOYjSF2+qTJFgf41GW2OZSNKee8p/rceF lhNCUjDPE7k88AKfiG/zAgnZ8NLibG8fa0u27zPLoQGljRYmD4XfLpTtyLr++HsV 9M4sypHQvXiTrOZBNkPu =bcZ5 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ varnish-dev mailing list [email protected] https://www.varnish-cache.org/lists/mailman/listinfo/varnish-dev
