The quest for 1e-6

I was curious if people see much activity in the 1e-5 to 1e-6 range on varnishhist, I occasionally get one or two vertical bars on the 1e-6 marker, but nothing regular. See the below screenshot.
Any parameters I can tune to reduce the response time to the 1e-5 to 1e-6 range? Fedora 12 VM on Fedora Core 8 on E5520/2.27GHz running Varnish 2.0.6 and varnish-2.1 SVN 4640:4641 - Thanks.
