Hello,
I'd like to use a director with sticky client configured. But all
documentation I found only mentions random and round-robin as possible
options. Is there any recent docu for this feature?
We're working on the docs, but if you make a "client" director
(syntax otherwise like the "random" director) it will distribute
based on the client's IP#.
This does not (yet) take X-Forwarded-For headers into account.
Just out of curiosity, wouldn't that give very weird results when
several people use the same outbound IP-address ?
I would assume the purpose of stickyness is to give returning browsers a
headstart in something.
But I could be wrong on both accounts. :)
