You are missing a space between -T and -a. Also, you should be using the normal startup scripts instead of executing varnishd directly, then edit /etc/default/varnish (or /etc/sysconfig/varnish for redhat-like systems). > $ netstat You need to use -l (or better yet: -nlpt) to get anything useful for this scenario.
