When i now try to connect with
varnishadm i get this result:
[r...@cache01 varnish]# varnishadm -T localhost:6082
usage: varnishadm -T [address]:port command [...]
And then back to the shell. From what i understood is that if i don't
give a command it should connect and give an interactive in/out from
STD OUT. That's at least what Docs for 2.1 say - i have 2.0.6 but i
don't see any possible changes in the doc.
If you had actually read the usage output you'd have seen that 'command'
is not in square brackets, which means it's mandatory. Ergo, with your
version of varnishadm, the command is required on the command line and
interactive usage is probably not possible.
You should not assume that whatever's working in 2.1 will apply to 2.0
just because it's not mentioned in the documentation for 2.1. You should
use the documentation for your version. Lacking that, "man varnishadm"
on your system would be quite useful.
