I used to have this:

if ((beresp.status == 500) && (req.request == "GET" )) {
if (req.restarts < 2 ) {
std.log( "USF req restart 500 try #" + req.restarts);
return(restart);
} else {
std.log ("USF req restart 500 miss");
}
}
}
...
...
}
In vcl_backend_response it is not possible to use req.restarts. How to
do the restarts in 4.0.1? I don't want to change the default in
max_restarts.
