Sadly, there is no ETag available. And I can't see any way of adding it without "hacking" the software (patching their code in an unsupported way, causing problems every time we want to upgrade that software). But I'm waiting for a reply on a support case I created, asking about this. But if I had easy access to the body in Varnish this would be "trivial" to implement there.
