Hi Mark, Thinking along this line, yes, I agree, you will need two different versions of these counters. If you set everything else except ownership up for each block in a prototype, this will minimise the maintenance issues.
Presumably, the neutrals are either setup in specific locations at game start (in which case both players iknow what they are, so 'hiding' them is not an issue), or are only deployed to the board when the neutral country comes in on one side or the other. 1. If initially setup, then create 'place holder' blocks for these initial setups that are owneed by nobody and have a couple of 'Replace With' commands:- 'Enter on Axis side', 'Enter on Allied Side' - that replace the placeholder with the correct version of block for the appropriate side (referencing the prototypes you created earlier!) 2. If the neutral blocks are only deployed when the neutral enters the war, then you don't even need to worry about this. Just have a 'Neutral blocks' window that has both sets of blocks for all neutrals. Add 'Send To' commands to the blocks to move them automatically to their entry location. While certain sides are obvious sometimes neutrals can belong to one or the other of the sides/nations playing. Since blocks are set up with no information showing until they need to be revealed I can't think of a way to set control for these neutrals so that their blocks would be masked. Am I missing something obvious I could do? If so feel free to let me know. Thanks. Mark ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ YAHOO! GROUPS LINKS a..
