You may need to remove the existing non-working imagefiles from your modfile before you can re-assign the image. In Explorer, Associate .mod w/ WinZip, then double-click the modfile, it will open in a WinZip window. In WinZip Options > Configuration > View tab > Columns, check Path ON. Highlight all instances of your problem imagefile (regardless of file extension) and Delete (Actions > Delete) them. They'll all be in a Path named 'images'. Close the WinZip window and re-open the module in the VASSAL editor, nav to the gamepiece in question & re- assign the imagefile - use only a jpg, gif or png file, do NOT use the bmp file. hth.
