There are two ways to send items to a deck: drag and drop or by
command. If it were me, I'd simply ignore commands, and I'd put
illegal pieces adjacent to a deck.
I was wondering. Is there a convention for handling errors in vassal?
I don't notice popup windows or messages in the chat window, so I
don't see a way to tell someone to "don't do that."
Bug report:
Lay a maskable piece faceup (unmasked) on a gameboard. The piece has a
send-to-deck property. Right click the piece and send to deck. The
deck is a facedown (masked) deck. Now immediately undo. In my module
Hammer of the Scots, the piece returns to its original position on the
gameboard, BUT NOW IT IS MASKED AND I DON'T OWN IT. This happens every
time.
extra credit: Try this with a group of pieces, i.e. draw a box around
them, send them by command to the deck, and then undo. Odd things happen.
