I KNOW that you can always just use UNDO to correct a mistake, but it would be
nice if as a designer, I could put up a prompt / warning to users when they
execute chosen commands.
IE.. I have a global command that will remove all of the STARTING SPOT
INDICATORS... now for most scenarios this is fine after the game as started,
but other scenarios make reference to these locations LATER in the game and
so it would be BAD to delete them and then carry on with the game and then in
round 8 go, OH DAMN.. i deleted the starting indicators... where the hell
does this go? It would be nice if when they click to remove them, I could put
up a message such as...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You are about to remove all starting spot indicators. If you choose to remove
them, you will not be able to bring them back later in the game. (Some
scenarios require you to know where they are in future rounds).
DELETE THE STARTING SPOT INDICATORS (Continue Button)
DO NOT DELETE THE STARTING SPOT INDICATORS (Cancel Button)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And the command would only go forward if they choose the "continue" button.
PS I would really like to be able to label the continue and cancel buttons
explicitly because I think you can make things much more clear by providing
details about what each button will do.
This type of prompt could theoretically be applied to ANY command from a
simple rotate to a delete, etc.
Thanks.
