Well, consider me campaigning for better save-file management! I'm
pretty well convinced that the operations needed to perform on load
are the entire bottleneck. I'll try the Stacking Options and see what
that does to performance, but I'm beting that it's all the info I've
attached to the counters in a bookkeeping-intensive game that causes
the problems, not the graphics (at least on the scale seen).
