The benefactor for the vassalengine.org site is one Rodney Kinney. The cost
is basically covered by the semi-annual pledge drives for contributions to
the SourceForge project.
In the long term, I expect to move inactive module files to an archival
service (such as Amazon's S3) and eventually drop the files if, say, no
files from the module have been accessed within the last year. This will be
automated, because I don't want to have to prune the modules by hand.
