Hornet Leader runs under 2.6.4 as does the new Cold War Expansion. I find it best to load from the Java Application Viewer "Javaws.exe" see attached snapshot.
You can the lauch on or offline . If you have skipped from 2.6.1 to 2.7 then I would go to Vassal Downloads and click on the 2.6 to make sure you have that version on your system. Close all java apps before you launch from the download. You will end up with 2.6 in your javaw see my example. If you still have problems let me know and attach error.log immediately after problem , this file can be found by right clicking on your start bar the selecting explore , go up one level to your log on name , then go into vassal and you will find it there . or C:\Documents and Settings\<userlogon>\VASSAL\error.log If you have a MAC then I can't help as to the error log location. Normally launching the module from Javaws would take care of the Vassal version.
