It is difficult as most if not all of the code is in the public domain. If
any one upset your "special properties" then they wouldnt be able to benefit
from them and would have to re download the module.

I'm not sure how editing anything in Vassal can do that unless you have
discovered a bug.

As for protection , to use material you need the copyright owners permission

If I wish to use a particular mechanism I always ask and have never been
refused and I allow others to use any methods of "mine".

Rodney has developed a platform that he places in the public domain , if you
wish you could always write or pay for your own Java application.

Subject: [vassalengine] Security cuestion

Hi everybody and sorry for my english

I'm working on a new vassal module and I've a cuestion: how can I do to
protect the module? I've see other modules that you're not allowed to
edit and, I would like to do the same! This module has especial pieces
that if they're edited they loose their properties! Have you got any
patch? Is there an especial tool that I don't know?

Thanks for your colaboration an for the vassal.
