If you're running the stand-alone version (not Java WebStart), then
you can do it by making a batch file containing the following:
java -cp path/to/your/laf/jar -jar runVASSAL.jar
-Dswing.defaultlaf=your.laf.class
with the laf path and laf class replaced by whatever is appropriate for the
laf you want to use. If this doesn't work for you, let me know how it fails.
